2016 – Where do we go from here?

• FEBRUAY- APRIL – EVENT – After many years of drought, we were blessed with an amazing wildflower bloom of which the Indigo Bushes were the lead attraction.
• FEBRUARY 29-MAR 2 – GUESTS – The Number Nine is but one Link in a Southern US Tour
• FEBRUARY 27-28 – GUEST – Ric’s Comrade in Woodworking and Photography Visits
• FEBRUARY 10-12 –  GUEST – Leather Designer and Creator Andrea Lien comes to make shades for lights.
• JANUARY – The last few months have been devoted to rearranging stuff to make The Number Nine work for visiting family, friends, and creators. Family and friends have come and run usability tests to make it ready for its new life.

2015 – A new beginning

• OCTOBER-ISH –  GUEST – Las Vegas mosaic artist Liesl Siojo visits property
• OCTOBER 2-4 – GUESTS – Raminta and Paul Jataukas visit for a weekend of sharing ideas
• JULY-NOV – GUEST – Ryan Campbell uses Art Studio 18 as base camp for his work.
• JUNE 10 – EVENT – A celebration of Ric’s life with family and friends
• MARCH – Radiation ends Mar 6; hospitalized on March 16; ICU March 17; passed away Mar 25 due to infection eventually causing lung and kidney failure
• JANUARY – Radiation starts

2014 – A hiatus

2014 saw the dream put aside on a physical level as Ric was increasingly ill.

• DECEMBER – Chemo ends – a very merry xmas!
• SEPTEMBER – Occupational therapy; Chemo starts
• AUGUST – 11 days spent in ICU intubated and sedated fighting sepsis and respiratory failure. 3 weeks in rehab to recoup ability to live independently
• JULY – a month of diagnostic procedures finds lung cancer. Lower left lobe of his lung was removed on July 31
• JAN-JUNE – Time evaluating, funding, and upgrading for moving plans forward.

2013 – The beginnings

• DECEMBER 2 –  NUMBER NINE ENHANCEMENT – Ric and Efron install the number nine signs manufactured by Efron to Ric’s specifications.
• NOVEMBER 7 – NUMBER NINE ENHANCEMENT: Solar Power installed and turned on.
• OCT-JAN – GUEST: Beer brewer Ben Johnson visits to study, do market research in the Coachella Valley, and conjure up a Sky Valley Number Nine brew. The creative juices are working!
